What We Do
Since August 2021, we have worked to create the Directory of Change.
Our Mission Statement
Yesterday works to provide equal opportunity to assist issues that should have changed yesterday. We strive to create informative content that can be accessed and understood by everyone.
About Our Approach
Yesterday believes that change requires…
Knowledge — educational articles
Community — members and ambassadors of Yesterday
Action — petitions and donations provided
Yesterday provides all of this. It is all accessible on our website, easy to understand, and effortlessly located.
Our Motivation
As the importance of spreading awareness has become increasingly relevant, more and more people are wanting to make a difference in the world. As wonderful as this seems, most have resorted to performative activism to exhibit baseline support.
Yesterday would like to revolutionize the way people initiate change. By providing a quick overview of countless topics all in one place, we hope to encourage people to actually become knowledgeable about a topic in order to properly advocate for it.
Trust us, as teenagers we know just how difficult it is to research current topics, collect non-bias data, and — most importantly — stay informed. Countless hours can be spent only trying to gain a general idea of what the issue is, so Yesterday would like to change that.
We provide easy to read, accessible information about global issues all in one place.
Our articles are written…
At a elementary school reading level.
With links to definitions of any complex terms/topics.
With direct links to trusted, researched donations and petitions to help support the issue.
With specific activities YOU can do to initiate change in your community.
“Change is here at your fingertips.”
